In Your Hands: Sustaining Transformation—
Individual & Collective Practices
Do you sense you’re on the edge of something, or already in it, and want to stay with it?
Whether you got here on your own, through a podcast episode, or through someone who sent you here, an herbalist, a bodyworker, a therapist, you want to stay with it.
But without something to orient you, it’s easy to start grasping or drifting. Reaching for the next practice, or getting distracted while time passes, not sure if what you’re doing is actually serving what you’re trying to grow.
And when things don’t stick, that can become a story about yourself.
Here’s what this course knows: the reasons change is hard aren’t just personal. And you don’t have to grind your way through growth.
Instead, you’ll build something to come back to, a personal tool, anchored in what you are trying to cultivate. A question you can return to again and again: is what I’m doing supporting what I want?
And the making of it? It’s genuinely enjoyable. ☺️ The audio is warm and produced with care, there’s music woven throughout, and you won’t feel alone in it. People have described it as having a companion by their side.
It’s not actually simple to make change happen sustainably.
There are power structures that interfere, internalized messages that can make it fraught, and the reality that most advice out there assumes we can all follow the same blueprint.
We can’t. There isn’t a one-size-fits-all.
In Your Hands: Sustaining Transformation understands that personal change doesn’t happen in isolation. The systems around us shape our patterns, and naming that is part of the work. You’ll get clear on what you’re actually trying to cultivate and build a personal tool that fits your life, your values, and the arc you’re on.
In Your Hands: Sustaining Transformation walks you through a meaningful process of getting clear on what you’re working on and building a personal tool to help you stay with it.
You may:
- Have had a breakthrough, insight, or shift and feel it starting to fade before you’ve had a chance to really work with it
- Be in the middle of a gradual change — something your therapist, herbalist, or bodyworker is supporting you through — and want to stay oriented within it
- Keep losing the thread of what you’re working on as life gets full, without quite knowing how to find your way back
- Have plenty of insight about yourself but lack something to anchor it to so it actually shapes how you move through your life
This course gives you something most transformation work doesn’t: a way to orient yourself within your own growth.
By the end of this course you’ll have:
- A personal tool you made yourself — not someone else’s framework — that you’ll actually want to return to
- A way to stop reaching for the next thing and know whether what you’re doing is serving what actually matters to you
- Something to come back to when you drift, without starting from scratch
- A clearer sense of your growth through time — not just where you’re struggling, but where you’ve already moved
- A way to be present with what’s most important to you right now, not stuck replaying the past or lost in future visioning
People finish this course feeling grounded, encouraged, and inspired — with something solid and specifically theirs to hold onto.
Across years of work in psychotherapy and herbalism,
I’ve seen what happens when people have this kind of clarity:
They follow through with the shifts they want to make. They commit to what’s important to them. Their sense of contentment grows.
Here’s what makes that possible:
Feeling seen in your process is nourishing. It gives you fuel to keep going even when things are hard or unclear.
Knowing that losing the thread is expected makes returning feel like coming home — not like failing.
Having the bigger picture of what matters most makes everything else easier to integrate. The practices, the insights, the support you’re receiving. You know the why behind all of it.
This course is for you if:
- You have insight, motivation, or a sense of what you’re working on, but keep losing the thread.
- You’ve done meaningful work (a retreat, therapy, bodywork, a profound experience) and don’t want it to fade.
- You reach for practices and tools but aren’t sure they’re serving what you’re actually trying to cultivate.
- You want something to return to, not starting from scratch every time life pulls you away from your growth.

About Quai
I’m Quai, a licensed psychotherapist (LCSW) and clinical herbalist with over 20 years of personal and professional experience in transformation work. I made this course because I wish I’d had something like it earlier in my own life, a way to stay with what mattered without losing the thread every time things got hard.
I teach from a framework that holds personal and collective change together, because I’ve seen how much it matters to understand the systems shaping our patterns, not just the patterns themselves.
I’m glad you’re here.
FAQ’s & Good-to-Knows!
Is this for me right now? And will this help me stay with a change I already know I want to make?
This course asks you to reflect on your transformation work, which requires some bandwidth, enough to sit with a reflection question, pause an audio to write something down, or let an idea settle for a day or two without losing it to the next thing on your list.
If you’re in active crisis or facing ongoing hardship, it might be worth waiting until you have more capacity. The course will be here.
If there’s something you’re working on and keep losing the thread of — or something you sense but haven’t fully named yet — this is exactly what the course is designed for. You’ll leave with something concrete: your own intention anchor, rooted in what matters to you right now.
What are the audios like?
If you’ve listened to the podcast In Your Hands: Herbal Self-Care for Emotional Bodies, the style will feel familiar — warm, calm, and thoughtfully produced. The episodes are core learning content rather than conversation, and you’ll be prompted to reflect and write along the way. Key moments are highlighted with sound, and music is woven throughout to support your experience.
How is this different from therapy, bodywork, or a standard workbook course?
Most courses in this space hand you a framework and ask you to follow it. This one asks you to build something that’s entirely your own — a personal tool rooted in what you are working on and how you want to show up for it.
It’s also unusual in naming that personal transformation doesn’t happen in isolation. The course holds individual and collective change together, which means you won’t find individualistic “just try harder” messaging here. The reasons change is hard aren’t only personal, and this course knows that.
And the experience of moving through it is different. It’s designed to feel like a companion alongside you — with music, sound, and encouragement woven throughout — not a protocol to complete or a workbook to fill in alone.
Therapy, bodywork, and other practitioner support are relational and experiential in ways this course isn’t. What this does is orient and deepen that work, giving you clarity about what you’re actually trying to cultivate so you can bring more of yourself to whatever else you’re doing.
How long will it take and can I do this in small pieces? Will I finish it?
Yes, the course is intentionally designed in small pieces. Seven short episodes, a segmented workbook, and reflection prompts that invite you to pause and sit with things before moving on.
Some people will do one episode at a time and let it breathe. Others will do two or three in a sitting. It could feasibly be done in a weekend, though most people move through it in one to three weeks. The total recorded audio is sixty minutes, but give yourself more time; each episode has moments where you’ll pause to reflect and write.
The course was designed with the same intention as the podcast: content people want to return to more than once because it offers layers that reveal themselves over time. People have said each module made them curious for the next.
Since the course is yours to keep, you can return to it as your transformation evolves and create a new anchor whenever you need one.
Will I have access to you or a community when I enroll in this course?
This course is designed to be a nimble, self-paced experience. There isn’t a community space or direct access to me included. If that’s something you’re looking for, this may not be the right fit.
That said, enrolling with a friend or small group can be a really nourishing way to go through it. You’ll have someone to discuss the content with, and you’ll each receive a discount. See pricing above for details.
Are there refunds if I don’t like the course or decide it’s not my cup of tea?
No, sorry- no refunds. It’s my hope that this webpage gives enough info so you can get a sense if it’s your cup of tea. Feel free to message me with any additional questions before you opt in.
How long will I have access to the course?
You’re paying for access for the lifetime-of-the-course itself. Once you purchase it, you’ll be able to download all files and they’re yours to keep!
Will you be discussing herbs or herbal remedies in this course?
No. This course is about transformation work, understanding the arc you’re on, and building a personal tool to help you stay with it.
Herbalism doesn’t come up directly, though my podcast In Your Hands: Herbal Self-Care for Emotional Bodies weaves herbalism and emotional wellbeing together if that’s what you’re looking for.
I also offer clinical herbalism consultations. You can . learn more about those on my website.
This looks intriguing, but I've tried similar things before and was disappointed. How do you teach?
That’s a fair concern and worth asking. I teach from a humble place. As someone who could have used this kind of guidance earlier in my own life and who has worked with adults in learning settings for years before becoming a therapist and herbalist, I know that the experience being facilitated is important.
A few things that matter to me: I don’t like when teachers talk too long, when content feels disconnected from real life, or when learners are talked at rather than with. The audio episodes are six to thirteen minutes each for a reason. The workbook is detailed and spacious. The pacing invites reflection, not rushing.
I also teach from a framework that names systemic context — so you won’t find individualistic “just try harder” messaging here. If that approach resonates with you, I think you’ll find this different from what you’ve encountered before.
Still not sure? The podcast is free and will give you a real sense of how I think and teach.
Can I do your course as a substitute for therapy or working with an herbalist or other practitioner?
No. This course is designed to work alongside existing support, not replace it. It’s not a substitute for therapy, bodywork, herbalism, or other relational and healing work.
What it can do is deepen and orient that work. When you’re clear on what you’re actually trying to cultivate and how you want to show up for it, you tend to get more out of the support you’re already receiving. Many people find that this kind of clarity supports their therapy process, helps them make better use of sessions with an herbalist, bodyworker, or naturopath, and keeps them connected to their work between appointments.
Think of it as a companion to the work you’re already doing, not a replacement for it.
